HOW DO I BOOK TICKETS?

You can find videos with directions starting from the Minster and The Shambles here.
WHERE DOES IT END?
The tour ends near Clifford's Tower and St George's Field.
IS IT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN?
Absolutely. Dorian is a massive child himself. Imagine Horrible Histories, but with a little
more innuendo for the grown ups to titter at.
ARE DOGS WELCOME?
A hundred times yes. If it's a small, adorable dog Dorian might try to buy it from you.
There are a couple of jumpy moments in Dorian's stories, and it might bark now again
but so far no dogs have complained.
DO YOU OFFER PRIVATE TOURS FOR SMALLER GROUPS?
Yes indeed. In these bizarre times, people are favouring private hires. All the info on private tours
can be found right here.
WHERE CAN I PARK?
Castle Car Park is ideal, as it's where the tour ends. If you arrive after 6pm, it is £2 for the evening.
The postcode is YO1 9SA.
HOW ACCESSIBLE IS THE TOUR?
York is a very old city, and as such there are many cobbled streets, steep pavements, narrow
snickleways (it's a real word!!) and can be quite unpredictable. If you are concerned about
accessibility send a message to Dorian to see if he can help.
THE REALLY IMPORTANT QUESTIONS
WILL I SEE A GHOST?
Dorian has no control or dominion over the spirits that may or may not exist in the ancient city
of York. He is a storyteller, a history enthusiast and has a passion for sharing this wonderful old
place with the people that visit. Will you see a ghost? He makes no promises, but he will tell you
where to look...
WHEN DO THE PUBS CLOSE?
An excellent question, with various answers. Dorian suggests 1331 York for pre tour drinks and food.
The tour ends at Clifford's Tower and there are numerous pubs, bars and restaurants nearby.
Ask Dorian, he can send you off in the right direction.
